Universal Butyl | Cold Seal Kit

3/8″ ROUND BUTYL TAPE 4.8M LENGTH

These replace the traditional Hot Seal “Thermo” kits that were used in the past. The hot seal kits are no longer available and haven’t been made for decades. The Universal Butyl | Cold Seal Kit being the next best alternative for those wanting a clean original style installation, without having to black out the edges of the glass, the way you would with the glass being urethaned in.

These do differ from the original hot seal slightly, in that they do not have the cloth edging on the inside edge, but do still allow for a more original/traditional mounting method. Please note that these do NOT come with the small tube of primer that Hot Seal “Thermo” kits traditionally did in the past. We are unable to source those small tubes of primer ourselves (at least at the present time), however installers will usually carry the primer.

One 4.8m roll is enough to do a front or rear window install. So allow 1x roller per windscreen or back window that you are installing.
