1947 – 1954 Chevrolet Pickup Truck vent window rubbers (Australian body)

These reproduction 1947 – 1954 Chevrolet Pickup Truck vent window rubbers (Australian body) will allow you to replace your dried, hard original quarter vent seals. Unlike some others available that are a universal fit, these are a proper moulded rubber. These seals are made specifically for the Australian Chevrolet Pickup Trucks.

PLEASE NOTE All the glass and associated rubbers and seals in these vehicles are different to their American bodied Chevy counterparts (even though they do look similar).

In order to replace the vent window rubbers, you will need to drill out the stainless pivot pin/rivet in the top hinge, a new one is supplied in this kit. The original vertical seals had a metal backing moulded into it with small tabs that folded over into the post. That exact style is not available, however the extrusion we provide works well. You simply trim it to length and it can be glued in place with Sikaflex or similar.
